The role of automotive industry for the development of modern society is well known. During many decades automotive manufacturing remainsa locomotive of development in the most economically developed countries.
Nevertheless, current automotive manufacturers’ problems include both shortage of highly qualified manufacturing personnel and engineering staff, and quality-related problems. Usually production defectscan have serious consequences and lead to significant costs.
Asadevelopment strategy of the automotive industry until 2025, Ministry of Industry and Trade has determined a direction for manufacturing competitive products, complying with the advanced international standards in the automotive industry.
One of the goals of this strategy is to satisfy 80-90% of the domestic demand for modern automotive vehicles by Russian manufacturers. Hence, the implementation of the national standard GOST R 58139-2018 is the most reasonable option to improve the processes of automotive industry enterprises and demonstrate their ability to constantly supply products and/or services that meet customers’ requirements.
The national standard GOST R 58139-2018 “Quality management systems. Requirements for automotive organizations” wasapproved and implemented by Nonprofit Partnership “Association of Russian Automakers” together with Certification Association “Russian Register” in 2018.
The services provided by the Russian Register to automotive enterprises and their suppliers regarding certification of management systems, products and personnel, LEAN expertise, etc., help to successfully implement this strategy:
PJSC “KAMAZ”, GAZ Groupand their suppliers are the clients of Russian Register for management systems certification.
