On September 30, 2018, the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 standard “Information technologies. Service Management. Part 1: Service Management System Requirements.” IAF agreed on a three-year transition period to the new version of ISO/IEC 20000–1:2018, starting from the official publication date.
In accordance with IAF Resolution 2018-14 since 20 March 2020 conducting of audits, including initial, surveillance and recertification audits, for conformity to the requirements of ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 will be stopped. Starting from this date all audits will be conducted only for conformity to the requirements of ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018.
The certificate holder organizations are recommended to undergo a transition audit to confirm that its system complies with the requirements of the ISO / IEC 20000–1:2018 standard prior to March 30, 2021.
